Go Profs!.Welcome to the Fall 2018 Semester everyone! Please don't hesitate to ask questions!.Any Subreddit feature suggestions please message about or make a post!. We welcome all incoming freshman/transfers to Rowan please feel free to introduce yourselves!.
All social-media/important links can be found using the new torch menu below. Yeah, it's honestly pretty gross that Rowan would even pull something like this after doing their whole 'hunger survey' thing last year. Takes way too long to order anything around typical meal times and even if you get it in, I've had my order delayed 3 times already, forcing me to wait even longer. Had just about enough of these constant stupid changes and wrote a pretty harsh google review for Rowan, that's about the only thing I could think of doing. Hopefully the school will get better when it finally hits whatever obligatory growth cap it continues reaching for.(Also charging an extra $.25 per sauce at Grill Nation and only giving it out in tiny little packets that are constantly covered in gross slime, what the fuck is that bullshit?). I'm not saying this maliciously, but they don't care. Rowan as of the last few years has been nothing more than a business, and the only sight they see is growth.
What are the main things you should worry about when it comes to students? Mental health, food, water, and housing. Nitro nation drag racing tunes. Basic shit Rowan. Half the freshman housing is fucking crumbling and instead of postponing growth to build a solid foundation, they're powering ahead.
The water was just recently fixed after containing FUCKING LEAD. They only fixed it because of law suits that it would entail. And don't even get me started on the mental health services.
I've begged for help in the past and literally told they have too much to deal with to help me. I can't fucking stand this university's treatment of us and if it wasn't for the academic program I'm in then I would've fucking left already.

Tapingo is a mobile commerceapplication that offers advance ordering for pickup and food delivery services[1] for college campuses.[2]
The term mobile commerce was originally coined in 1997 by Kevin Duffey at the launch of the Global Mobile Commerce Forum, to mean 'the delivery of electronic commerce capabilities directly into the consumer’s hand, anywhere, via wireless technology.' Many choose to think of Mobile Commerce as meaning 'a retail outlet in your customer’s pocket.'
A mobile application, also referred to as a mobile app or simply an app, is a computer program or software application designed to run on a mobile device such as a phone, tablet, or watch. Apps were originally intended for productivity assistance such as email, calendar, and contact databases, but the public demand for apps caused rapid expansion into other areas such as mobile games, factory automation, GPS and location-based services, order-tracking, and ticket purchases, so that there are now millions of apps available. Apps are generally downloaded from application distribution platforms which are operated by the owner of the mobile operating system, such as the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store. Some apps are free, and others have a price, with the profit being split between the application's creator and the distribution platform. Mobile applications often stand in contrast to desktop applications which are designed to run on desktop computers, and web applications which run in mobile web browsers rather than directly on the mobile device.
Delivery is the process of transporting goods from a source location to a predefined destination. There are different delivery types. Cargo are primarily delivered via roads and railroads on land, shipping lanes on the sea and airline networks in the air. Certain specialized goods may be delivered via other networks, such as pipelines for liquid goods, power grids for electrical power and computer networks such as the Internet or broadcast networks for electronic information.
The company was bought by Grubhub in Fall 2018[3].
Tapingo is differentiated from other on-demand delivery/logistics companies, such as Waiter.com, Postmates, or DoorDash,[4] by focusing its efforts on serving the college market. Through Tapingo, users can browse menus, place orders, pay for the meal and schedule the pickup or have it delivered.[5] On certain campuses, students are able to use their university's meal dollars to pay for food.[6]
Waiter.com, also formerly known as World Wide Waiter, is an online restaurant delivery service that went online in early December 1995. It was founded by two Stanford University Business School graduates Craig Cohen and Michael Adelberg. Although Waiter.com does service residential areas, its main focus is delivering for business mealtime orders and catered meals. Waiter.com primarily operates in California in the Bay Area.
Postmates is an American logistics company that operates a network of couriers who deliver goods locally.
DoorDash Inc. is a San Francisco–based on-demand food delivery service founded in 2013 by Stanford students Andy Fang, Stanley Tang, Tony Xu and Evan Moore. A Y Combinator–backed company, DoorDash is one of several technology companies that uses logistics services to offer food delivery from restaurants on-demand. DoorDash launched in Palo Alto and has since expanded to 56 markets and more than 600 cities across North America.
In spring of 2012, Tapingo first launched its services on five campuses (Santa Clara University, Loyola Marymount University, Biola University, the University of Maine, and California Lutheran University), and has since expanded to more than 200 college campuses across the U.S. and Canada, serving 100 markets.[7] To date, Tapingo has received $36M in venture funding.[8] from Carmel Ventures,[9]Khosla Ventures,[10] Kinzon Capital, DCM Ventures[11] and Qualcomm Ventures.[12][13][14]
